September 2024 — FS, a trusted communication technology solution provider, and Siemens, a leader in industrial automation, officially announced that the ILTP (Intelligent Loading Test Platform) and automated production line jointly built by the two parties will be launched. This cooperation not only involves the introduction and application of many cutting-edge technologies but also an important practice in intelligent manufacturing, digital management and production efficiency improvement. This cooperation introduces new intelligent equipment and combines it with digital systems ILTP and MES (Manufacturing Execution System). Its goal is to achieve a single production line with 16 switches in simultaneous loading and testing, daily output of 400 switches, and realize internal and external system information interaction, so as to achieve digital management. By introducing traffic testing instruments from well-known brands, the reliability and stability of switch testing are improved, and the entire production process is managed in a refined manner in combination with the MES system. In the future, FS will continue to invest in automated production, increase the number of intelligent production lines, and further improve production efficiency and management levels. The "Loading test" operation is to install the operating system software package into the switch through the transmission protocol and related instructions, and then test it according to the steps. This process is integrated through the ILTP to realize the automatic interaction of test software, automated production lines, switches, and computer information. It completes automatic switch on/off, automatic system upgrade, automatic license import, and automated testing. This not only enhances the process level, but also ensures more reliable quality control in the production process, thereby guaranteeing product quality.Brody Yang, FS senior product process manager, said: "Through cooperation with Siemens, we conducted in-depth research and analysis on the switch business and carried out comprehensive planning, covering workshop layout transformation, automated production line layout and detailed solutions, smart logistics and MES systems. With the help of Siemens simulation technology, we have created a modern production model of intelligent manufacturing and digitalization, improved production efficiency, product quality and intelligent management, enhanced core competitiveness, and laid a solid foundation for market competitive advantage.""In this joint project, we conducted exploration based on digital twins for FS's new workshop. Utilizing simulations and our combined expertise, we have developed a more reasonable and scientific plan for the future workshop. The cooperation between our teams in this project is the most tacit and efficient one we have ever experienced," said Huang Changxia, head of Research & Collaboration, Siemens Technology China. "Based on this, we also cooperated on the project of an intelligent loading test to further help FS improve in the process of digitalization. For the future, we are looking forward to continuing to grow in the direction of digitalization with FS."Through in-depth cooperation with Siemens, FS is further moving towards a new future production model characterized by intelligent manufacturing and digital management. FS will continue investing in automation, expanding intelligent production lines to meet high-volume demands, and reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality products and services to customers.About SiemensSiemens is a global leader in electrification, automation, and digitalization solutions.
